The European-styled upgrades to the MY12 i-MiEV's exterior include a larger rear bumper which adds a stylish finish and complements the vehicle's smooth lines. Auto Lighting control and Multimode Keyless entry complete the upgrades to the 2012 model and enhance the overall i-MiEV experience.

The i-MiEV is available in six stylish colours; White, Black, Cool Silver, Ocean Blue, Raspberry Red and Titanium Grey.

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 15, 2011– TyreSafe is urging motorists to inspect their tyres before heading off on holiday to avoid it becoming a tyre related 'wash out'.

On their pre-holiday check list, drivers should include making sure that their tyres have adequate tread depth, ensuring their tyres are properly inflated for the load being carried (including the spare tyre) and making sure that the general condition of the tyres is good. Driver's failing to make these checks are more likely to be involved in a tyre related incident, potentially ruining their summer break warns TyreSafe.

"Whether you're heading overseas in your car, or staying in the UK, correct tyre maintenance is vital to reduce the risk of being stranded by the roadside or involved in an accident as a result of a tyre related issue," says Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe. As well as the reduced likelihood of being involved in an accident, other benefits for drivers of correct tyre care include longer tyre life and reduced fuel bills. PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 10, 2011– The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class, and for 2012, Chevrolet managed to increase its fuel economy by 2 percent by making a few eco-minded changes. "One of those technologies is deceleration fuel cutoff (DFCO). While the vehicle is decelerating or slowing down, fuel is automatically shut off to the Cruze's advanced Ecotec engine," Chevrolet says in a press release. "When the driver accelerates, the fuel automatically begins flowing again and the vehicle accelerates as the driver commands."

The DRCO technology is available on Cruze models with both manual and automatic transmissions. So far, the EPA has only rated the Cruze Eco, and says models with an automatic transmission will get 26/39 mpg city/highway, which is two more miles per gallon than the 2011 model equipped with an automatic transmission. According to preliminary tests, Chevrolet says all models with 1.4-liter turbo engines and six-speed automatic transmissions will get a 2 mpg increase. The automaker adds that an Eco with a manual transmission still has the highest ratings of 42 mpg on the highway.

These aren't the only changes the affordable small car will undergo for the 2012 model year. Previously, 1LT models (one step up from the base trim) and Eco models didn't come with Bluetooth, USB port, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wh dodge eel and a leather-wrapped shift knob. These features, which came with the $525 Connectivity Plus Cruise o acura ption package for 2011, now come with the 1LT and Eco.  

Chevrolet has also added a new touch-screen navigation system with a 7-inch color display that is now optional on the Eco trim, which didn't have this option last year. Record breaker Nobuhiro Tajima sped up to the 4,301-metre summit in just 9:51.28 minutes in his GoPro Suzuki SX4 Hill Climb Special using FALKEN tyres.

60-year old Nobuhiro Tajima beat the "young guns" in his 910bhp GoPro Suzuki SX4 HillClim aston martin b Special racing on FALKEN ZIEX S/TZ01 tyres. The chevrolet veteran reverentially referred to as "Monsuta Tajima" or Monster Tajima by his compatriots achieved a new world record despite experiencing problems with his radiator. Reaching the top in just 9:51.28 minutes, Tajima beat 37-year old Rhys Millen, who came second with a time of  10:09.24, and 42-year old Jean-Philippe Dayraut who finished third in 10:17.77 minutes, the latter pair failing to match the previous 10:01.41 record set by the FALKEN shod Tajima in 2007.

Since 1989, Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima has been taking part in the hillclimb which features a range of vehicle categories from 4x4s to racing cars, classic cars and motorcycles. Racing this time in the Unlimited Class, the new record run marked the sixth time that chrysler Tajima has teamed up with tyre manufacture auto part r FALKEN to compete in the event.
